Poor Davie Obey, he'll do anything to stop the war except seek victory. The truth is David Obey has been wasting our time with his efforts to bring all our troops home from Iraq right now. He has lost every effort to do this, and now his own party has surrendered and given up trying. In the meantime, the Democratic-led Congress, and Obey flaunts himself as a leader, has failed to tackle the issues important to us over which it has greater control, such as immigration. Feingold, you are betraying our forces in combat. Get out of the senate now. US Senator Russell Feingold (D-WI) simply has no clue about Iraq, or about military matters. He and Rep. David Obey (D-WI) are two lost ships at sea and I wish they would just go away. Don't go away mad fellas, just go away. Feingold has been working harder to get our military forces out of Iraq than he has worked to upgrade the quality of life for the people of Wisconsin. He now wants our troops out of Iraq by March 31, 2008. How well do you think he has thought that through? He's got lots of questions to answer. Truth is, he's clueless. By Ed Marek, editor.

Wisconsin's Rep. David Obey still ceding information battlespace to our enemies. Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) and Representative David Obey (D-WI) colluded to write an article entitled, "Bush's choice on funding troops," published by the Christian Science Monitor on April 17, 2007. We have provided it in full, unedited. We have also laced their commentary with our own editorial response, labeled, Comment. The commentary by these two legislators continues their habit of waging information warfare against US military forces at war and continues ceding the information battlespace to our enemies. These two are vigorously engaged in deception, misinformation and disinformation, mingled with an occasional truth. You talk about two dinosaurs. Here they are. April 20, 2007.

Protesting our right, knowing the agenda of the organizers our responsibility. An anti-war rally was held in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin, on March 17, 2007. This editor attended the rally's workshops prior to the march. There is far more at work beneath the surface of this anti-war talk. Many on the Left are using innocent people who are against the war to promote agendas of which the average Joe is not aware. March 26, 2007. By Ed Marek, editor.

Obey responds: Iraq a mess headed for absolute catastrophe. On March 13, 2007, I wrote and published an editorial entitled, "There is no popular mandate for defeat in Iraq, Mr. Obey." I e-mailed a copy to his office. On April 3, I received a written response from Obey. I am publishing his response verbatim, and then will have follow-on comments. While Obey has expressed his position, he failed to address any of the points I made in my editorial. That is normal when dealing with someone in American politics today. April 4, 2007.

There is no popular mandate for defeat in Iraq, Mr. Obey. Representative Obey has dishonored our armed forces and betrayed those he is to represent. We did this in Vietnam. We're not gonna do it again, folks! The recent congressional elections did not provide anyone a mandate to withdraw our military forces from Iraq. There was no such question on the ballot. Our fighting forces do not fight alone. They fight with us back home leading their way. If you have not yet mobilized for them, please do it now. Provide no quarter for our enemies. Fight against any American in government who is not supporting our forces in their fight for victory, their fight to win, their fight to survive. March 13, 2007, updated March 15

Wisconsin “Bring Troops Home Now” referendum stupid, but vote anyway. The operative word is “now.” What does that mean? It means immediately. You might want us to get out of Iraq, but it would be stupid to tell the troops to do so “now.” It’s not like moving the Baltimore Colts out of Baltimore in the still of the night. Therefore, given what we expect to be a poorly written, and poorly thought through referendum question, we urge you vote and we urge you vote “no.” By Ed Marek, editor. March 18, 2006

We highlight the great things about Wisconsin, which are also things that reflect so well on America --- its people, land, and culture.
