Good ol' cars and trucks - Hudson
As we drive around the state, we spot some great reminders of the past, classic cars and trucks made out of "Detroit iron." We skid to a stop, and click ‘em. We’ll set this up by make, and each section will be chronological, oldest to newest, but always classics only.
Hudson Hornet Custom, 1955. Spotted this jewel out of the corner of my eye at Lloyd's Auto Repair Inc. at 1815 N. 6th Street in Wausau, Marathon County, raced home to grab the camera, and took some shots. Haven't seen a Hudson since I can remember. This is a beauty. This is a Custom 4-door sedan built by American Motors Corp., the old AMC. Let's get a few other looks at her.
As an aside, if you pass Lloyd's Auto Repair in Wausau, always take a look at the parking lot. He frequently has these old gals parked in there. I have found three or four so far, each one a real classic. You also might give him some business. He looks like he has a lot of customers and I can understand why, he and his team are real pros.
For you young guys, this is what used to known as a bumper, real "Dee-troit Iron." Hit that and you'll know you hit something.
